Irving Finkelstein, Esq. a graduate of Long Island University where he was an editor of the school’s newspaper, founded what is now Finkelstein, Meirowitz & Eidlisz over 20 years ago. Irving graduated from Brooklyn Law School with Honors and then served for two years in the United States Navy where he had his first experience with an “on the job injury,” earning a Purple Heart after being wounded in combat.

Irving founded the law firm of Fine & Finkelstein, which later grew into Fine, Finkelstein, Schneider & Kleineck, becoming one of the largest worker’s compensation law firms in the country at the time. Building on his many years of successful practice, Irving left to found his own firm, Finkelstein & Meirowitz, now Finkelstein, Meirowitz & Eidlisz.

Mr. Finkelstein is a long-standing and revered member of the New York workers’ compensation community. Over the years he has trained and assisted countless young attorneys to practice in the workers’ compensation field. After over 40 years of representing injured workers, Mr. Finkelstein continues doing what he loves most, which is using his experience to help those injured on the job.

He has been a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Bar Association and has held membership in the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Finkelstein is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
