In my 46 years as a trial lawyer, there’s little I haven’t seen, including, most often, the terrible price families pay when someone they love has been seriously, often catastrophically injured in an accident. The grief, the pain and suffering, the way families can be torn apart with worry over how to pay for much-needed medical care or how to put food on the table while they’re out of work. It’s heart-breaking to watch, let alone live through..
